In multiple-select questions, students can check
any number of boxes as correct answers to the question. Some,
all, or none of the choices may be correct responses, depending
on how the question is written.
The multiple-select question type eliminates the
need for "a and b only; a and c only" phrasing, while preserving
the value of this question style. Because students must analyze
each possible response in a multiple-select question, a higher
level of learning and retention is required.
