The new WebAssign GradeBook gives you complete control
over every aspect of student grades.
As an instructor you have immediate
access to all of your student grades. In addition, if you choose
to enable it, your students will be able to see their own grades
and homework, quiz, and test averages as the semester progresses,
and even compare their scores with the class averages.
Flexibility and Control
WebAssign can calculate the total grade for each
category of assignment; homework, test, etc. You decide how assignments
are weighted relative to each other, and if you want to drop the
lowest scores in each category.
Automatic calculation of final/interim grade
The final grade is automatically calculated in real
time based on your personal weighting scheme. You decide how much
each category of assignment should count toward your final grade.
WebAssign also allows you to upload student scores
from other classroom activities and exercises, so all your grades
can be kept in the WebAssign grade book.
Final Letter Grades
WebAssign can even assign letter grades based on
the final score achieved by each student. As always, you are in
complete control. At the end of the semester (or any time you
choose) you can download a spreadsheet of all student grades and
scores.
Analysis of grades
WebAssign's gradebook feature also includes
analyses right at your fingertips - from a quick overview of means
and other basic statistics to printable summaries with question
and response histograms.
