Authored and Public Content

WebAssign provides two collections of unrestricted questions.

Authored Collection

WebAssign has partnered with individuals, groups of teachers, and other entities to create questions for WebAssign instructors to use in assignments. These unrestricted questions have been evaluated and verified by the WebAssign editorial team, and we support this collection by fixing errors and making improvements.

Questions from the Authored Collections can be duplicated and modified but cannot be used outside of normal WebAssign assignments.

Public Collection

Many WebAssign instructors write their own questions and generously make them available to other WebAssign users.

The authors retain editorial control of their materials and might change them at any time. Instructors using these public questions should make a copy for their class and add the username of the original author to the comment field. Duplication ensures that the question will not be changed while your students are working on an assignment. Questions in the Public Collection can also be modified.

Expert tip: if you find a question that you like in the Public Collection, check for other questions by the same author. You might discover a wealth of materials that fit your needs.
